Travelers: We are a Moroccan-Dutch travel agency operating in compliance with EU legislation and protecting our travelers by having all required and necessary insurances. This ensures we are a legitimate and trustworthy company, making your well-being our top priority so you can travel with peace of mind. It is mandatory that you purchase your own out-of-country medical insurance, and we also highly recommend interruption insurance.

Local people: All money paid (except expenses), go directly to the people of Morocco and the employees of Travel Magical Morocco. We believe in respecting all sectors of society, fair wages, and working with those that allow us to mutually complement one another’s skills and expertise. Combining our passions and successes with local entrepreneurs allows us to provide the best trip possible and encourage growth for all. Our next priority is to show you as much of the local life as possible. Morocco is incredibly rich in culture and the people take great pride in their exceptional hospitality skills and are thrilled to share with you, some of the richness the country has to offer.

We run the fair-trade webshop HelpLocalwithLove as well to allow Moroccan craftsmen to make a living when the income from sales to travelers is low.

Sustainability: We have received a Travelife Partner award. The award recognizes Travel Magical Morocco’s long-term efforts in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Travel Magical Morocco meets more than 100 criteria, related to a travel company’s office management, product offering, international business partners, and customer information. The Travelife standard covers ISO 26000 corporate social responsibility topics, including environment, biodiversity, human rights, and industrial relations; and is formally recognized as fully compliant with the UN-supported Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria.

For example, CO2 compensation for your flight is automatically included if you book your flights with us. Upon request, we can compensate for the CO2 emission for the transportation of your whole trip.

It is important to us that we provide sustainable choices to our travelers so when you book a trip with us, we will provide you with a water bottle including a built-in filter, helping to avoid plastic litter. When your trip is complete, you can take the water bottle as a keepsake, or you can hand it over to us where they will be sanitized and handed out to local people so they can enjoy safe drinking water as well.

You will see much of the wildlife Morocco has to offer but we do not support wild animals being tamed, therefore we avoid all tourist attractions where we feel the animal’s well-being is not a priority.

Our travel agency is operated strictly online to avoid waste of paper and office space and we make our best efforts to support sustainable accommodations and hosts that use solar energy.

Of course we try to ensure that Hassan is your guide. Helped by city guides in the larger cities. However, if Hassan is unavailable we work with other officially certified guides. We have a network of ‘Guides National’ with which you can travel throughout Morocco. We also work with city guides: guides who can tell you all the ins and outs of a city like Marrakech, Fes, or Essaouira in a day or half a day. These are also official and reliable guides. We always try to provide you with the best guides possible, because we know how crucial a good guide is to your introduction to beautiful magical Morocco.

Carbon dioxide has the same impact on the climate no matter where it is emitted and what the source, so if a tonne of carbon dioxide can be absorbed from the atmosphere in one part of the world it should cancel out a tonne of the gas emitted in another. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the air as they grow and store it, making forests one of the biggest carbon sinks.

So, in theory, companies and individuals can cancel out the impact of some of their emissions by investing in projects that reduce or store carbon – forest preservation and tree planting are among them, but carbon credits are also awarded for projects that reduce fossil fuels in other ways, such as wind farms, solar cookstoves, or better farming methods. To keep the world’s forests standing, at least $100bn needs to flow to heavily forested developing countries each year. We -at Travel Magical Morocco- are aware of that and will focus on long-term cures within Morocco as well.

For now, we automatically compensate all air flights booked via Travel Magical Morocco via Trees4All. We will send the obtained certificate after your trip. Upon request, we can also compensate the carbon offset of the rest of the transport during your trip via the Carbon Footprint Calculator.

We are committed to offering the most well-rounded, authentic experiences possible which means we are not able to negotiate greatly discounted rates with chain hotels and large global corporations. We are not a company that is interested in mass tourism – we choose comfortable, local

accommodations, safe transportation, and skilled staff. We realize that many people in Morocco struggle financially and want to compensate those we work with fairly.
