Day 1: Arrive at Casablanca
Arrival in Casablanca, our guide will assist you at the airport and drive you to your hotel or accommodation. Here you can rest and accommodate.
Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Tangier - visit the imperial cities
At 8 AM, meet your driver at your hotel after breakfast; we start the visit to the beautiful city of Casablanca.
On this visit, you explore the Mosque of Hassan II (not including the visit inside, volunteer). After the visit we leave for Rabat, the first imperial city that we explore and visit in this tour, Rabat, the actual capital of Morocco. In this city, you see the great facade of the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, the Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Oudaya.
Later, after lunch, we will continue our journey to Tangier, the gate of Morocco, including a stop in the old Portuguese capital, Asilah. Once in Tangier, we check in to the hotel where you stay for the night. Overnight and Dinner in Tangier.
Day 3: Tangier and Chefchaouen - discover Morocco's culture
After breakfast, we visit the extraordinary home of artists and the coastal city of Tangier, including; the Cap Spartel and the Heracles caves.
After exploring Tangier, we continue our journey through the Rif Mountains to reach the city of Chefchaouen, known for its Blue/white houses and blue doors. We explore its old Medina which was originally a Berber post.
The main square “outa Lahmam” is the heart of Chefchaouen, with the Kasbah (built back in the 18th century), a central mosque, and cafes with authentic menus. The busy market is a mix of traditional Moroccan and tourist fare. Overnight and Dinner is in Chefchaouen.
Day 4: Chefchaouen, Meknes, Volubilis, and Fez - enjoy all colors!
After breakfast, you can have more time enjoying the blue city and take some photos of your tour. And then, we leave through the mountain villages of the Jbala region.
After about 3 hour's drive, we reach Meknes, another imperial city, known for its huge walls and beautiful unique gates, the city tour of Meknes, will include: The Royal stables, The Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and a visit to Bab Al Mansour Gate. After exploring Meknes, our journey will continue to Volubilis, a world heritage site and the old Roman capital; we explore the ruins with a local guide to witness the traces of the Roman civilization in North Africa.
Afterward, we drive south to reach the majestic city of Fez, one of the four so-called imperial cities next to Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat. The city of Fez is considered the religious and cultural center of the country and is an essential stop for all tours through Morocco. Check in to a charming riad or hotel for an overnight and dinner.
Day 5: Fes Guided City Tour - discover Morocco's heritage
After breakfast, meet your driver and guide, for an explorative journey of Fes, a full day dedicated exclusively to visiting the city of Fez. This starts with a visit to the beautiful doors of the Royal Palace of Fes, then enjoy a panoramic view from the old Kasbah to enjoy the old medina of Fes from above the mountains that surround this beautiful city.
Later, we will visit the great door of Bab Boujloud, where you will start the Medina tour to visit the main monuments of Fes including; the Medersas, and take a walk through the different neighborhoods of the area, such as the wood workshop and the leather tannery.
When this visit is over, you have free time before driving back to your hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 6: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou - Midelt – Merzouga Desert Dunes
Today, we head to the great desert land and Sahara dunes.
Departure to Merzouga via Ifran is also known as the Switzerland of Morocco. The forest of Azrou where we stop to enjoy watching the monkeys/Barbary apes climb the cedar trees and then continue via the Middle Atlas mountains to reach the city of Midelte. Here we will stop to have lunch.
Then we continue driving while enjoying the changing of desert sceneries and landscapes, continue via the Ziz valley and its gorges to arrive at Merzouga, once in Merzouga desert, you can relax and enjoy a mint tea, before starting a new desert adventure on camels.
You start a camel trek for 1 hour and a half through the huge dunes to watch the sunset and sleep under a nomadic tent at the large dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and accommodation are in the desert camp.
Day 7: Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley -Ouarzazate
You can wake up early to attend a lifetime sunrise over the dunes and ride camels back to the village with the dromedaries to take a comforting hot shower (optional: if you book luxury desert camp, then, you will have breakfast, and shower at the camp).
Then, meet your driver again for a new day in southern Morocco, and leave towards the Todra Gorge. This 1000ft gorge is hemmed in on all sides by vertical limestone cliffs and is also called Morocco’s Grand Canyon. There you will have enough time to explore the gorge, from its plunging depths to dizzying heights. The charm of Todra lies in its changing colors as the sun slowly moves from east to that flows through it giving life to a huge variety of colorful fruit, nut trees, and extraordinary red rock formations.
Stop for lunch in a local restaurant, and then, continue our journey through the valley of The Dades Valley and Rose Valley ”Valleys of Thousand Kasbah” which takes us through the Skora oases with their authentic 17-century kasbahs, and then, continue to Ouarzazat. Overnight and Dinner in Ouarzazate.
Day 8: Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas - Marrakech
Breakfast at your accommodation, then, head to visit the old house of the PashaLaglaoui, the Pasha of Marrakech, and the Kasbah Taourirt. Maybe this is the first world heritage Kasbah that you visit.
Later, we drive to explore one of the wonders of southern Morocco; the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a large fortified village, declared a world heritage by UNESCO in 1987 and a site that still attracts movie makers and directors from all over the world.
Once the visit is made, we stop for lunch in a local restaurant before heading to Marrakech, through the High Atlas Mountains and the beautiful landscapes of Tichka Pass (2260M high road). Arrive at the city of Marrakech where we spend the night. Overnight and Dinner in Marrakech.
Day 9: Marrakech Guided Tour - more heritage, culture and history
Meet your guide and driver at the lobby of the hotel for an explorative guided city tour of Marrakech, a journey full of heritage, culture, and history.
Explore the red city, founded in the 11th century by the Almoravid Sultan Youssef Ben Tachafine, Marrakesh becomes the capital of the Kingdom; it is enriched with great constructions before knowing, under the Alawites, a more secondary role. Called "the Red City" or "the Pearl of the South", Marrakech is a fascinating city.
It enchants visitors with its contrasting colors: the ocher earth color of its homes, the green of the palm grove, and the white snow-capped mountains of the Atlas, as well as its remarkable world heritage monuments and huge shady gardens. Berbers and Arabs meet here, the nomads and mountaineers converge here, the goods are overflowing, and the craftsmanship shines, below palaces, casinos, hotels, and gulfs; which makes it an essential complement to a stay of great quality. Marrakech is indeed the capital of southern Morocco!
Visit the main monuments of the city: the gardens of Majorelle, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Badia Palace, the souks, and the medina. Then, enjoy a cup of mint tea on a terrace overlooking the live square and the beaten heart of Marrakech; JemaaLafna Square where your Marrakech city tour will end.
Day 10: Airport Transfer Marrakech
After breakfast and depending on your flight time we drive to Casablanca or Marrakech airport to reach your return flight.
