Day 1: Arrive at Marrakech
We welcome you at Marrakech airport; the driver welcome you and assist you with the luggage by carriers. Transfer to the hotel selected for the night introduction of the guide (optional) and the explanations about the tour.
Day 2: Guided City Tour of Marrakech - The Pearl of the South
Meet your guide and driver at the lobby of the hotel for an explorative guided city tour of Marrakech, a journey full of heritage, culture, and history.
Explore the red city, founded in the 11th century by the Almoravid Sultan Youssef Ben Tachafine, Marrakesh becomes the capital of the Kingdom; it is enriched with great constructions before knowing, under the Alawites, a more secondary role. Called "the Red City" or "the Pearl of the South", Marrakech is a fascinating city.
It enchants visitors with its contrasting colors: ocher earth color of its homes, green of the palm grove, and white snow-capped mountains of the Atlas, as well as its remarkable world heritage monuments and huge shady gardens. Berbers and Arabs meet there, the nomads and mountaineers converge there, the goods are overflowing, and the craftsmanship shines there, below palaces, casinos, hotels, and gulfs; which make it an essential complement to a stay of great quality. Marrakech is indeed the capital of southern Morocco!
Visit the main monuments of the city: the gardens of Majorelle, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Badia Palace, the souks, and the medina. Then, enjoy a cup of mint tea on a terrace overlooking the live square and the beaten heart of Marrakech; JemaaLafna Square where your Marrakech city tour will end.
Day 3: Marrakech, Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate - wander through the movie scenes
After breakfast at your hotel, we leave to the south to explore deep Morocco and meet the locals, we will cross the High Atlas, by the TizinTichka pass (2,260m altitude), the highest road in Morocco.
Continue crossing the amazing Berber villages until you reach the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, marked as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1987, a fortified enclosure inside a walled town that you surely recognize, since this Citadel has been the scene of such famous films as Gladiator, Sahara, Asterix, and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, among many others.
Here, we will stop for lunch in a local restaurant before heading to Ouarzazate, where we will stop to visit the African Hollywood atlas studios where many famous films and movies were shot. And then, we will continue to the heart of the city to explore another world heritage site; the Kasbah Taourirte before check-in to our Hotel.
Day 4: Dades Valley, Todra Gorges and Merzouga Desert - camel rides
After breakfast, departure through the palm grove of Skoura, passing through the Dades Valley.
Visit the Gorges of Todra and from there, to the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi, passing through the village of Erfoud, the palm grove of Tafilalet and Rissani, the first imperial city from Morocco. Witness an important meeting of Caravans for a long time, famous for its donkey parking. Continue to Merzouga.
Once in Merzouga, you can relax and enjoy a mint tea, before starting a new desert adventure tour. You start a camel trek for 1 hour and a half through the huge dunes to watch the sunset and sleep under a nomadic tent at the large campsite at the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Day 5: Merzouga, Midelt, Cedar Forest, Ifran and Fez - explore Morocco's wonders
Try to get up early to watch a lifetime sunrise and after breakfast, we will drive towards Fez, passing through the Ziz Valley enjoying its amazing gorges and the huge palm grove of Ziz with more than 450000 palm trees.
Continue through the middle atlas mountains until the city of Midelt, where we will stop to have lunch, and then, continue toAzrou, where we stop at the cedar forest, known for its millenary trees, and see the monkeys/Barbary apes. Not far we stop at Ifran, the small Switzerland of Morocco, well known for its similarity. After a break in this beautiful city, we continue to reach Fes, check in to your hotel or Riad in Fez.
Day 6: Fes City Tour - visit oldest imerial city
A full day dedicated to discovering and exploring Fez, the oldest imperial city in Morocco, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II.
During this guided city tour of Fes, you will visit the old Medina of Fez el-Bali, one of the largest medieval sites in the world, declared a World Heritage Site more than 30 years ago. After the Medina, the MedersaAttarine, one of the most beautiful Koranic schools in Fez. The following points in the itinerary are the Ennajarine Fountain and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, founder of Fez.
Then you will go to the Karawiyin Mosque, belonging to the Karawiyin University, the first university in the world, founded in the year 880 and, finally, you will enjoy a nice overview of Fes, where you can take some amazing shots for your trip.
Afterward, you can visit the Medina of Fez Jdid, the new part of the city. Accommodation in hotel or riad.
Day 7: Meknes, Volubilis and Chefchaouen - more old cities
After breakfast, we leave to visit another imperial city, Meknes, one of the great walled imperial cities of the Moroccan territory. There you can visit luxurious palaces (Moulay Ismail palace and Mausoleum) and the Royal stables of Meknes, as well as some of the most important souks in Morocco. After Meknes.
We head towards the Roman ruins of Volubilis, an authentic monument declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the old capital of the Roman empire. Then, continue to Chefchaouen the blue pearl of the north and the 4th world destination.
Here, you can have free time to explore the blue streets of Chefchaouen and take some photos of your trip. Overnight in Hotel or Riad
Day 8: Chefchaouen and Tangier - architecture and art
Breakfast at your hotel, then, start a new adventure day of your Morocco Trip. We drive to the port city of Tetouan, which was the capital of the Spanish protectorate it possesses a unique Hispano-Moorish character visible in its timeless appealing architecture.
After exploring Tetouan, we will head to Tangier, a Mediterranean city and the gateway to Africa. This city is home to artists and many foreigners because of its unique captivating atmosphere. You will have the opportunity to look around on your own. You will spend the night in your hotel or riad in this city.
Day 9: Tangier, Asilah, Rabat, Casablanca - a unique culture
The day starts early after breakfast, your adventure will continue in the direction of the town of Asilah, a gorgeous white-walled town, that will make you feel as if you were on a Greek island. Once there you will get to experience the unique exotic culture of the city, a mix of Moroccan Spanish traditions noticeable in all everyday life activities.
Afterward, we continue driving along the coast to the political capital of Morocco: Rabat, visit the most touristic of Rabat, the Méchouar (the ramparts and walls that surround the Royal Palace), the Kasbah of Oudayas and the magnificent mausoleum of Mohamed V and Hassan Tower, continue to Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque from Outside (optional: visit inside the mosque)
Day 10: Casablanca to Marrakech - City Tour
After breakfast, start the city tour of Casablanca including the Hassan II mosque, Cornish Ain Diab and Habous district.
Then continue to Marrakech, free afternoon and evening in Marrakech to Explore the Famous jemaaLafna Square.
Day 11: Departure Marrakech Airport
Depending on your return flight time and airport, after breakfast and at the scheduled time we take you to the airport for your return flights.
